I can't believe at 60 years old I'm taking on bigger waves than I was able to in my 20's and 30's!
Like many of you, I had health problems. I was 45 years old, overweight with high cholesterol and high blood pressure. The stress of starting a charity, eating whatever was put in front of me and too much of it, too much beer at night to help me fall asleep, combined with no fitness plan made me fat, weak and in pain.
I thought this was normal, a normal part of aging and a normal part of a busy working life. I was wrong. It took me until I was 52 to realize that this isn’t the way it should or could be.

My weight peaked at 100kgs (220lbs), I was sluggish and couldn’t stand the way I felt and my body ached every day. I managed to get down to 96kgs in a year then hovered between that and 93kgs for several years. Nothing I did seemed to make any real progress.
Not only was I fat, but now I was frustrated too. And I was worried. Worried about what I would be like in 10 years time. With a family history of heart disease, was I heading toward the coronary care unit or an early grave?
Frightened and motivated by this thought, I took action and studied the latest in health science and biohacking and began experimenting on myself. Then I hit my sweet spot! The fat seemed to melt off me with surprisingly little effort. I was astonished. Within 10 months I went from 93kg to 81kg – that’s 13% of my body weight and went from 25% body fat to 15%. My man boobs shrank away. You might be thinking that this isn’t rapid weight loss, and you’re right, it was consistent and sustainable weight loss. I didn’t just lose fat and water weight but gained muscle, strength and energy.
Funny things happen when you transform your life. As I got slimmer than I’d been since I was 25 and my hair just as dark, friends around me started to comment. “Maybe he's on growth hormones?”. “Are you dying your hair?” they asked me. NO. No to both. They couldn’t believe it!
What happens when someone in the community/family starts to change is it can challenge those around them and threaten the status quo, the "norm". It’s common to face resistance and concern from those around, this can either stop progress in its track or your progress can motivate others. Over the next few months I noticed those very mates start to lose their beer bellies, they too realized that it’s not all downhill in your 50’s, that you can slow down that mudslide and continue to strengthen and grow instead.
I want to share with you how to slow that mudslide, but without the mistakes I made. I want you to succeed, to feel energized, motivated, pain free, disease free and excited about living longer - to hit YOUR sweet spot. As well as being an Optimal Health Consultant, I am a certified in the Bredesen Protocol for cognitive decline so I can help you keep up to date with the latest methods and technologies.
